Front desk staff were wonderful! The lobby is spacious, welcoming, and most importantly- clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast has lots of options for every taste. They also have a sign saying they can provide gluten/dairy free options. Loved the indoor pool / hot tub area as it was the perfect temperature for our kids and clean.

Always have a great experience when we stay here! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Hotel is near what we need! Hot tub and warm cookies on counter help also!!

Very nice hotel in the heart of the University of Minnesota -Mankato campus. Well kept, clean and modern. Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Excellent free breakfast with wide variety of food. The rooms are a bit small. I love that our hotel room had a small recycling bin in it!! Normally we have to take our recycling home with us. the main negative about this hotel is that they do t have an elevator.

I had a great stay at the AmericInn in Mankato! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms and common areas were very clean, and the breakfast was good with a nice variety. The beds were especially comfortable, and the location is nice and quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others visiting the area.

A bit of nostalgia for the two of us as this hotel is adjacent to the campus of Minnesota State University at Mankato. When we attended here in the early 1980s it was Mankato State University. Some of the buildings and many of the street names are familiar to us. But a lot has changed in the last 40+ years. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable and in very good condition. The Continental breakfast was bacon, scrambled eggs, and the usual assortment of cereal, toast, bagels, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, etc. they also have two pancake machines for fresh, hot pancakes The staff was friendly and helpful. I booked through Travelocity and had no difficulty with the reservation. The hotel also texted me a link in advance that allowed me to take care of the registration in advance, so when I arrived (at about 12:30 am) I had my key card and was heading toward my room within five minutes of stepping through the door. We arrived on the Wednesday of Thanksgiving week and stayed through until Friday midday. Because we were booking a room over Thanksgiving, I anticipated both higher occupancy and higher rates. Neither was the case. Our cost was significantly lower than I expected and based on how many cars were parked in the lot and how many other guests I saw in the hotel, it was not very crowded. If I had to guess, I believe the location of this hotel means that it's primary clientele are related to activities on campus. And university campuses are well known to be relatively empty over the holidays.

We had a pleasant stay during Mankato’s light display. Rooms were clean. Pool was clean and towels available. Breakfast was decent. Staff made chocolate chip cookies during the evening. EV charging was a nice bonus. Although, sentry mode captured quite a few not so great characters trying to steal a charge. Overall it was a quality stay!

We always enjoy staying at AmericInn when traveling to see our college student. The hotel is typically very clean and rooms are always nice and clean. The hotel was busy on this recent stay and therefore I feel that cleanliness standard fell a little flat. The room was great! Nice and clean and comfortable. Quick check in after doing the pre check in online. We tried to use the pool/spa in the evening, and there weren’t any towels. Asked the front desk if we could expect some towels to show up while we were there swimming, they said no and handed us some shower towels to use instead. There was a group of people camped out in the spa (cooler included), so we weren’t able to enjoy that function. The pool area in general was dirty from muddy shoes, even several chairs were muddy and we didn’t have anywhere to set our belongings. Not sure if this is a normal experience, being that our stay was on a Saturday night, we typically don’t use the pool area on our stays. Overall, still a great hotel, we will continue to stay and maybe not plan to use the pool if it’s that busy next time.

We had a wonderful time very clean rooms very romantic very well priced. Me and my husband travel a lot and this is definitely one of the top hotels that we have stayed at. Great price, great breakfast If we come back to Mankato we will definitely be staying here.
